Each session has a different focus. To learn about the current session please contact Angelique. Here is one example of a past session: This session we will focus on the art of the drum solo. In a Belly Dance routine, the drum solo comes at the end of the set to showcase the strength, precision and power of the dancer. We will be working on drills to support drum solo work and end with a combo set to a specific rhythm or drum solo music.
In keeping with the spirit of change, last year I switched from accepting drop-in's to offering session-based classes. This was a great update to the class structure because it allowed us to build progressively throughout the session while keeping everyone on the same page. Because each session had a theme, we were able to concentrate our efforts towards a particular element of the dance and grow through repeated exposure.
